Lazy
Lars - so the original title - has remained
a fragment on every level. There exists an unmixed 3/4 hour
tape containing film music that Thomas Wydler, Rainer Lingk
and I developed in the course of several nights.
There
exists rehearsal tapes with Nick Cave and Suse Brühne
and a few rather kitschy self-staged productions
at Havelsee (West-Berlin).
During the work on this project I was suffering from the illusion
that somewhere in the world outside the film academy there
was a financer /producer who might support a project for the
reason that it otherwise could not be completed.
Not least of the remnants of this film is a 140-page script
for an operette-like comedy about a lazy forestdweller in
a long since vanished kingdom.
