Video images transform objects and figures into ghosts. The ghosts themselves dictate the laws that govern their appearance; not even the hour is fixed.

When the moon is full, they descend from somewhere behind the mountains, casting a veil over everything and spreading a general terror. I didn‘t want to force this nonsense into a trivial narrative pattern.

The circumstance that an opaque potpurri of images and impressions can so easily result from this sort of strategy led me to new frontiers of experimental video: a film is created out of ghosts, rather than merely consisting of them.
