Lightness
and weight - exertion, upward motion, elevation and fall -
physical and mental gravity: these all comprise the themes
of Light at Heart.
We observe a plummeting airplane, polevaulters, circus performers,
acrobates and astronauts and from time to time hear a few
sentences about their experiences, dreams and sleeping habits.
Spirit is the lightest element, the only flyinig
object truly capable of supporting its own weight.
Avoiding all commentary and explanatory apparatus, I concentrate
on the observation of the various motions. Interwoven with
these observations of gravitation is the story of the American
journey to the moon, told from the point of view of late astronaut
James Irvin.
